School

Yup. It's just about time to go back. I took two semesters off...the first so I could participate in NaNoWriMo (which turned out to be a complete waste this time around) and the second so I could go on the trip with my Mom (which turned out to be awesome in spite of because of the weird things that happened).

I registered for my second-to-last course, "Writing Short Stories". It begins in mid-May. Just one more after that to get my Creative Writing Certificate. I don't know that it will give me much, but I figure a somewhat-scholarly credential can't hurt when I talk to agents and publishers.

It's wonderful that you're going back to school! :-) I'm sure it will be both satisfying and fulfilling to complete the rest of your courses.

Good for you! I'm sure the "Writing Short Stories" course will be extremely useful. Obtaining a Creative Writing Certificate is a great idea in terms of the skills you'll receive and the credentials you'll acquire. It certainly can't hurt to have this under your belt when talking to agents and publishers.
I'm sure I'll learn something, either about story writing or about myself.

Thank you for seconding my opinion of having some sort of credential when talking to agents and publishers.
