NaNo Day 18

I managed to procrastinate my way through the entire day. I finally sat down to write just after dinner and managed to crank out almost as many words in two hours as I wrote all day at the Marathon Write-In of Doooom. Yup, that's more confirmation that I write better when I'm alone with silence surrounding me.
It finally took setting the kitchen timer for first five minutes, then fifteen to get me started. But I passed the 35K mark and I'm happy.

I'm glad you had such a successful writing session. Sometimes writing seems to work that way. You can crank out a phenomenal amount in the space of a couple of hours, but struggle when you give yourself the whole day. Anyway, it's great that you passed the 35k mark. I don't blame you for being happy about that. :-)

NaNoWriMo

I love the Canadarm.

I didn't really struggle to write at the Write-in on Saturday, so much as give in to the distractions. I just have to be alone in a quiet room when I write. I just set a kitchen timer if I'm having trouble getting started. It gives me a deadline. I don't think I have ever counted the words I've written during one of these timed sessions; but it at least gets me moving.

Now, I just have to find something that will get me moving out of bed in the mornings. ;-)
