Nancy's Ramblings

It has been almost five weeks since having my gallbladder removed. I had my follow up appointment with the surgeon yesterday. He asked if I would like the gallbladder back and I told him, "No way. I can eat anything now." Apparently, I had lots of stones, scarring and inflammation. This led to the conclusion that the gallbladder has been sick for a very long time and I was lucky to have had only one attack. Before the surgery, I thought about canceling because I didn't think it was acting up. Now I know better. No more Maalox. No more upset stomach. I hadn't realized how much it was bothering me because the onset was gradual.

The doctor says I am healing very well and he lifted all restrictions on food and activity.
