I quit.

That's right. I quit NaNoWriMo. It was wonderful, but I have nothing left to prove because I've won it six years in a row. I am not enjoying it and I have other things to do with my time. When I started to feel it becoming a chore I realized it was time to move on. No, this is not the week two blahs.

Good for you! No, I'm not being sarcastic or insincere. As you pointed out, you have nothing left to prove after winning six years in a row. If it feels more like a chore and it's something you're not enjoying then it's silly to put yourself through that kind of suffering. Besides, sometimes the writing mojo just isn't there. That's usually a sign that you either need a break or need to wait until you're in the right mindset. It's horrible when you have to force something. Why go through all that stress if you aren't going to be happy with the end product?
Thank you, Rusty. Your response makes me feel better about my decision. I'm just not in the writing mood at all. I have written a page or two of a couple of different stories, but I can't get any farther. I suppose I could write 30,000 words of the first two pages of multiple stories, but it won't be very satisfying.

On a positive note, I have started reading Physics I for Dummies.
