For my birthday, Hubby gave me a box of chocolate and rims for my snow tires as well as taking me to dinner at the Keg Manor with my stepson and his partner (who gave me a gift certificate for a good Italian restaurant). On top of this, Hubby also gave me an amazing birthday card that made me cry because he doesn't do mushy cards and he reads the whole thing to make sure it is perfect.
On Your Birthday
Just saying "I love you" isn't enough.
It doesn't tell you how your smile always makes my day.
Or how good it feels to look into your eyes.
Or especially how happy I am when I know we have the whole day to ourselves.
"I love you" doesn't come close to expressing how much better my life is because you're my wife.
So today when I say those three little words, I'm saying so much more.
I love you.
I applied for and got a new position with the transcription company I work for as the current contract will end in a few months. Since I generally work nights and sleep days the new position is perfect--it pays a 10% premium for working 10pm to 6am. I start in January.
And the most up-to-date news is that I am typing this with Brimley on my right shoulder snuggling into my neck. This is something he has started to do more frequently and it seems to be one of his new favourite places to sleep. Sort of reminds me of the controlling creature on Londo Mollari's neck in Babylon 5 except that Brimley faces my back. 8-)
