NaNo Day Sixteen

Woot! Just passed 40K. I'm well on my way to finishing. Unfortunately, my plot took another twist so I have to stop and think about how to carry on from here. The plot wouldn't work with a republic; but will work with a constitutional monarchy. Now I have to change the next several chapters. Oh well, it will put a coronation into the novel. That should add a few words.

The more I read about your novel, the more intricate it sounds! *g* Congratulations on passing the 40K mark! I hope the constitutional monarchy works out, especially if it means a coronation! :-)
Thank you. It has been much easier this year, especially considering I started with no ideas at all. Some of the things I thought I would do didn't get done. Some did. Oh the joys of working without a net plot.
Who'd desire a republic when I could be king?

(Didn't anyone read Hamlet?! It is customary for the slayer to be the succeeding monarch. Unless there be ghosts, which you relegated earlier, there are not. So let there be a coronation and an abundance of panegyrics elaborating on my multifarious merits.)
And indeed, you shall be king. That was the plan all along. I am just uncertain at the moment whether you will be the slayer. Oh, and junior's parentage has been decided. I may have another character to take the fall. Of course, suspicion will be cast upon you; but all will be decided in your favour.

Everything hinges on whether I can get the &*#%&$@ characters to cooperate.

And, no, I have not yet read Hamlet. Eventually, I will--probably before I edit this novel. I do; however, know the basic story.
