And another one is finished

I've been at this cross stitch thing for a little over three weeks (three weeks and two days). I finished the first little one in the first week. I finished the second larger design yesterday. I have started another little one and am about one quarter of the way through it. Yeah, I'd have to say I'm hooked on it, at least for a while.

I also designed the Jensen family crest in PC Stitch. It was cool. I imported the graphic as an underlay and traced it in stitches. It was easy; but time consuming. While I was working on individual stitches, I didn't think it looked very good. I mean, it is really difficult to know where one colour should start and end when two or three colours all fall in the same little square. When I zoomed out and looked at the whole pattern, it looked good. Yup, I like PC Stitch. I had tried just importing the graphic and letting PC Stitch do the work. It would have made a beautiful cross stitch; but to get the resolution, I would have had to stitch a really, really big tapestry. I will use this option when it is appropriate. I like that there is more than one way to do things.
