ya think!

It's official

Well, maybe not "official"; but it seems to be the consensus. I am burned out. Nope, it's not just depression. I really thought I just needed more (legal) drugs. Hubby announced to me that he believes I am burned out. A couple of others concur and I did some research. Damn! The symptoms fit perfectly. I can't even get excited about NaNoWriMo. This has been coming on for a long time, and probably explains why I slept through the main day at Polaris (SciFi convention) back in July. I have a few things I *must* do at work (pay creditors). Then, since I have to pick up my mother-in-law at the Toronto airport at midnight Saturday night, I'm going to stay with her for a few days to distance myself from work for a while. Having met my mother-in-law, I know lazigyrl will think this is a totally crazy idea; but I expect to have some quiet time while I'm there, and I've been craving some solo long-distance driving. Yeah, I think I'm trying to run away.

Oh hon!
*hugs you tight*
Recognizing it is a big step.
Even if you are unable to celebrate it right now, know that its a major step to starting to recuperate.

Fleeing the scene will at allow you to look at things from a distance.

What do you think are the things that burned you up/out the most?
What are you most happy to leave behind when you drive your long drive?

*sends warmth and cuddles*
Thanks. The hugs help.

The answer to all your questions is "work". Trying to run a company with no money and trying to live on the lack of proceeds. Working too many hours for too little satisfaction.

On a positive note, my mom and I are considering going on a vacation together some time next year. It might be good to have something to look forward to.
Remember to come back. And don't kill the mom-in-law.
Ah, you just took away all the fun. ;)
I'm sorry that you're burnt out on top of your depression. :-( Here's hoping that your time away will give you the space and quiet you need to recharge your batteries. They say a change is as good as a rest, so maybe a change of scene will help do the trick. :-)
I'm hoping the change of scenery will do the trick.
